Overview
This course is designed for Dynamics CRM technical consultants who implement integrations with Dynamics CRM using Scribe Insight. Through instructor lead discussion and hands-on labs, the students will learn the best practices for building one-way and two-way integrations with Dynamics CRM. Students completing this course will have a thorough understanding of the integration design patterns and features Scribe uses when building its own integration templates with Scribe Insight. This is a full two day course.
The course is designed for students that have completed Scribe’s certification training for Insight and the Adapter for Dynamics CRM. Prior experience implementing integrations with Dynamics CRM will be helpful in understanding the concepts in this course.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate of advanced training from Scribe.
Learning Objectives
- Have a broader understanding of Scribe's capability and how to apply it to customer requirements.
- Understand the best practices for configuring the Scribe server and its database in the customer’s environment.
- Understand the best practices for building integrations with Dynamics CRM.
- Understand the best practices for capturing changes in third party systems.
- Understand commonly used integration design patterns.
- Get hands-on experience with publishing changes from Dynamics CRM as XML messages.
- Get hands-on experience building one-way and two-way integrations between Dynamics CRM and a sample ERP application.
- Architecture overview of the Scribe Integration for Dynamics NAV and Dynamics CRM.
- Review of architecture of the latest Scribe adapter for Dynamics CRM.
Requirements
The training includes lab exercises in a Microsoft Virtual PC environment. Scribe will provide an external USB 2.0 hard drive for each student to use during the training course.
For use of the lab, the student must come with a laptop with Virtual PC 2007 installed. Virtual PC is available free from Microsoft. The laptop must have a USB 2.0 port. For optimal performance, the laptop should have 4 gigabytes (G) of RAM, with 2G available for the Virtual PC machine, and be running Windows XP Professional. Windows Vista can also be used.
